Guildford Kitchens is an independent kitchen, bedroom and worktop company working out of a showroom on the Riverway Industrial Estate in Peasmarsh — on the Portsmouth Road, a few minutes from Guildford town centre and a short run down the A3100 to Godalming. We design, supply and fit, and we do all three ourselves.
Being independent is the whole point. There is no head office setting a monthly target, no call centre and no scripted appointment. The person who draws your kitchen is the person you'll ring when you have a question about it three weeks later, and the same small team handles the fit. It also means we're free to specify what genuinely suits your room — a German handleless range, a hand-painted shaker, a fully bespoke run built around a chimney breast — rather than whatever a supplier is pushing this quarter.
What clients tend to write about afterwards isn't the cabinetry — it's the way the job was done. People who had already been round the national chains telling us our designer was head and shoulders above the rest. A bespoke kitchen and boot room where we were flexible about the plan. A whole project delivered ahead of schedule. And the stone yard trip, where you stand in front of full slabs, choose the one you want, and write your name on it.
We'd always rather talk honestly early than sell you something you regret later. If a layout won't work, or the budget is better spent on storage than on a headline appliance, we'll say so. The design consultation and the quote are free either way.

Design before product
The first conversation is about how you use the room — who cooks, what annoys you now, where the light comes from. The cabinetry choice comes after that, not before it.
Honest about limits
If a layout will feel cramped, or a marble island will etch within a year in your house, we will tell you. It costs us nothing now and saves everyone a great deal later.
Real samples, real slabs
Full-size doors in daylight, and whole stone slabs at the yard. Postage-stamp samples flatter everything and tell you almost nothing.
Kitchens and bedrooms
The same team designs fitted wardrobes and bedroom furniture, which makes a whole-house scheme far easier to keep consistent.
Sequenced properly
Cabinetry, worktops, plumbing, electrics and tiling in the right order, so no trade is standing around waiting for another one.
Snagged, not abandoned
We walk the finished room with you, even up the door gaps, and write down anything outstanding so it gets fixed rather than forgotten.
The showroom
Worth the trip to Peasmarsh.
Our displays are set up as working kitchens rather than props: hobs, extraction, tall units, seating at the right heights, and a full wall of doors and finishes at actual size. You can stand at a worktop, open a drawer loaded with pans, and see the difference between an ultra-matt lacquer and a hand-painted shaker in daylight — which is the only way to choose either of them honestly.

Our showroom sits on the Portsmouth Road in Peasmarsh, which puts us a few minutes from Guildford town centre and a short run down the A3100 to Godalming, Bramley, Shalford, Wonersh and Farncombe. Most of our work is within that stretch of Surrey, and we're happy to look at projects a little further afield — just ask.
