Showroom on Portsmouth Road
Independent · Peasmarsh showroom · design, supply & fit
A proper showroom, a designer who listens, and one team who see it through.
More about us →Guildford Kitchens is an independent kitchen, bedroom and worktop company working out of a showroom on the Riverway Industrial Estate in Peasmarsh — on the Portsmouth Road between Guildford and Godalming. We are not a national chain and there is no call centre: you deal with the same small team from the first conversation to the day we hand the room back.
In the showroom you can open the drawers, feel the difference between a soft matt lacquer and a hand-painted shaker door, and see real stone rather than a postage-stamp sample. We design and fit German handleless ranges, traditional and shaker kitchens, fully bespoke hand-crafted cabinetry, fitted bedrooms and wardrobes, and stone worktops — and for worktops we'll take you to the stone yard so you can choose the exact slab that ends up in your house.
The design consultation and the quote are free and there's no obligation at the end of them. If a plan doesn't work for your room or your budget, we would much rather say so early than sell you something you'll regret.

What we do
Kitchens, bedrooms and worktops — designed, supplied and fitted.
01
→German Kitchens
Handleless, engineered German cabinetry — the range for anyone who wants clean lines, deep drawers and mechanisms that still feel tight in ten years.
02
→Traditional Kitchens
Timeless painted and timber kitchens for period Surrey houses — cornice, plinth, pelmet and proper proportions.
03
→Shaker Kitchens
The five-piece shaker door — the most versatile look in British kitchens, and the easiest to live with for twenty years.
04
→Bespoke Hand-Crafted Kitchens
When the room won't take a standard cabinet: hand-crafted cabinetry made to the millimetre, including boot rooms and utilities.
05
→Fitted Bedrooms & Wardrobes
Bespoke fitted wardrobes built into the space you have — sloping ceilings, chimney breasts and awkward corners included.
06
→Worktops & Stone
Quartz, granite, sintered stone and timber — templated, fabricated and fitted, with a trip to the yard to pick your own slab.
The styles
Four very different ways to do a kitchen.
Handleless German engineering, a traditional painted room, colour with timber, or a compact galley planned to the millimetre — all of them start with the same free conversation in the showroom.

German handleless
Engineered cabinetry, flat fronts, deep drawers.

Traditional
Cornice, plinth and proportion for period houses.

Modern & two-tone
Colour with timber — warm, but uncluttered.

Compact & galley
Small rooms planned so nothing is wasted.

Why people choose us
The reasons they recommend us.
Independent, not a chain
No call centre, no scripted sales appointment and no commission-led upselling — you talk to the people who will design and fit your kitchen, in a showroom you can walk into.
Design that beats the brochure
Clients who had already been round the national chains tell us our designer was head and shoulders above the rest. The room gets planned around how you cook, not around a standard cabinet run.
Pick your own slab
For stone worktops we take you to the yard so you can choose the exact slab — see it whole, put your name on it, and know that it is the piece coming to your house.
Kitchens and bedrooms both
The same team designs fitted wardrobes and bedroom furniture, so a whole-house scheme keeps the same finishes, the same standard of fitting and the same point of contact.
One team, start to finish
Design, supply and installation under one roof — cabinetry, worktops, plumbing, electrics and tiling sequenced properly, with one number to ring if you need anything.
Free, itemised, non-binding
The design consultation and the quote cost nothing and commit you to nothing, and the quote is itemised so you can see what every change actually costs.
How it works
From showroom visit to finished room.
01
Come to the showroom
Bring rough measurements, a photo of the room and any ideas you've saved. We'll walk you through door styles, finishes, worktops and appliances, talk honestly about what suits the way you actually use the room, and give you a realistic sense of what's achievable. No appointment fee, no obligation.
02
Design and a clear quote
We draw the room to scale, plan the layout around how you cook, store and live, and present it with a fully itemised quote so you can see what every part of it costs. Changes at this stage cost nothing — that's exactly what the drawings are for.
03
Survey, install, hand over
Once you're happy we take final site measurements, order the cabinetry and template your worktops, then fit it with our own installation team — plumbing, electrics, tiling and worktops coordinated so trades aren't tripping over each other. We snag the room properly before we call it finished.
Where we work
Guildford, Godalming and the villages in between.
Our showroom sits on the Portsmouth Road in Peasmarsh, which puts us a few minutes from Guildford town centre and a short run down the A3100 to Godalming, Bramley, Shalford, Wonersh and Farncombe. Most of our work is within that stretch of Surrey, and we're happy to look at projects a little further afield — just ask.
Thinking about a new kitchen?
Ring the showroom or email us and we'll put time aside for a proper look at your room. The design and the quote are free, and there's nothing to sign at the end of them.
